SJD (short for Sean James Donovan) is a terrific little electronica/big beat musician, whose biggest recent single is now featured in a “Buy Kiwi” advertisement for the New Zealand Ministry of Economic Development.  He is very much fashioned in the mold of Moby, which of course is a good thing in my book.  I’ve been meaning to buy his fourth album, 2007’s “Songs from a Dictaphone,” but I haven’t been to a music shop in ages.  Plus, CDs are quite expensive here.
